Application Guide

How to Apply Duraflex Ultra

For best results, use only certified Supercrete applicators. Professional application is required for the 10-year warranty to apply.

Substrate Preparation

Surface must be clean, sound and free of oil, grease, loose material and dust. Fill cavities and honeycombs with FLEXCEM GP or DURAPROOF SB40-enriched mortar. Plug active leaks with CEMFIX R rapid-setting mortar before application.

Corner & Junction Fillets

All corners and wall-floor junctions must be rounded with triangular fillets (5–6 cm sides) using FLEXCEM GP or DURAPROOF SB40 mortar. This is critical for membrane continuity at high-stress junctions.

Mixing

Pour Liquid Part A into the mixing container, then add Powder Part B. Mix at 300–400 rpm with a low-speed paddle mixer until lump-free and homogeneous. Stand 4–5 minutes to de-aerate. Use within 30 minutes.

Pre-wet the Substrate

Wet the surface to saturated surface dry (SSD) condition — no standing water on surface. Do not apply to frozen, hot or bone-dry substrates. Substrate and ambient temperature must be between +5°C and +30°C.

Apply Two or More Coats

Apply by stiff brush or roller in crossing directions. Maximum 1 mm per coat — do not exceed this. Allow 5–6 hours between coats. Embed a polyester fleece (30 g/m²) or fiberglass mesh (65 g/m²) strip in the first coat at all corners and junctions.

Protection & Curing

Protect from rain for 4 hours. Do not allow foot traffic or tile fixing for 24 hours. Backfill after 3 days minimum. For pressurised water applications, maintain dewatering for 7 full days after final coat application.
